This painting represents the Ceres or the 'Allegory of Abundance as evidenced by the rich cornucopia of flowers and fruit that the goddess is giving to the man in armor at her feet.
Above, the Fama with a trumpet announces the world a new reign of prosperity and peace.
The picture, in warm tones, is attributed to Jacob de Wet, a Dutch painter, whose works were widely influenced by Rembrandt.
