Alfredo De Sanctis (Brindisi 1865 - Firenze 1954)
He was born in Brindisi by Pius and Marianna Costantini. Son of art, made the apprenticeship in his father's company impratichendosi in many roles. In 1898 he directed the "Company of the dramatic Art Theater" in Turin. In 1900, became a comedian, he formed his own company with a repertoire considered exceptional for its time (Ibsen, Gorki, Brieux, Butti, Silvio Benedetti). In 1921 he reached its maximum success, reporting a all'Œuvre triumph in Paris. He was married to actress Alda Borelli. In his company they recited numerous actors of the twentieth century [3], including Paola Bourbons, Alfredo Martinelli, Umberto Melnati, Guido Morisi, Egisto Olivieri and amilcare pettinelli.
