ALTO LAZIO (Viterbo or Acquapendente), half 16th century.Ivory coloured majolica. Recto: white on white decoration, with four large arches with a flower-patterned base and a rectangle at the centre reading DIANA; verso: white on white decoration

An extremely rare handicraft along the lines of the ones from the Alto Lazio, most notably the Acquapendente area. Seeing as it reads DIANA and is wonderfully craft on both recto and verso, it is clearly a gamelion, a wedding gift from a fiancé to his betrothed.
