Affiche made for the New York Film Festival at the Lincoln Center Philarmonic Hall. The image refers to that of the 114.3 x 61 cm format reported in the catalog "Andy Warhol The Complete Commissioned Posters 1964 - 1987", No. 6 of 1967, commissioned to Warhol by the Lincoln Center for the New York Film Festival, fifth edition of the event and quoted in the catalog raisonné edited by F. Feldman, J. Schellmann, C. Defendi, "Andy Warhol Prints: A Catalog Raisonné 1962-1987", Distributed Art Pub Inc., 2003, N.II. N.II.13.

Made with silk screen printing in five applications of fluorescent blue, pink, red, green and black. With a perfectly pop design, the image is that of a mundane object: an enlarged ticket of the event. The use of bold, particularly vibrant colors, reveal its unexpected beauty. This representation is the perfect example of Warhol's approach to art in choosing ordinary objects. The affiche, inserted in the "List Art Poster and Print Program", is selected and reproduced on the folding cover of the catalog "Images of an Era: The American Poster 1945-1975", the largest exhibition dedicated to American posters in 1975.
Organized by the National Collection of Fine Arts of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, it arrives in Houston, Chicago
and New York in 1975 to land in Europe in 1977
