INFORMATION ABOUT LAGUNA ART CHARITY AUCTION

Ferdinando Codognotto and the artists of Laguna Art Factory raise funds for “Casa di Mario”

The Auctioneers will be Paolo Bonolis, Paolo Hendel and Daniela Morozzi.

All the works put up for auction were donated by the authors. The proceeds from their sale will be donated to the non-profit association Oltre lo sguardo Onlus to finance the La Casa di Mario project.

Consisting of three housing units overlooking the Orbetello lagoon, La Casa di Mario is a co-housing experiment that, for the past two years, has been enabling young disabled people, often orphans or those in situations of severe economic and social hardship, to learn to be autonomous.  (https://oltrelosguardo.org/presentazione/)

Raising funds for this small project of great importance is the aim of our Laguna Art Charity Auction. The works put up for auction were donated by Ferdinando Codognotto and the group of four artists involved in the first edition of Laguna Art Factory, an event conceived by Pierluigi Piro, president of the Cooperativa dei Pescatori, and Chiara Serracchiani, photographer and minority councillor of the municipality of Orbetello, with the aim of promoting artists active in the areas bordering the splendid coastal lagoon of Orbetello.

Bertolami Fine Art carries out its intermediation activity in this auction completely free of charge, buyers are therefore exempt from paying the commissions usually due to the auction house

In the event of:

a.      One single auction pre-bid on a lot

In the absence of bids during the auction, the lot will be awarded at the starting bid even if the sole bid received is higher (the amount of the pre-auction bid indicates the maximum bid the bidder is willing to place.

Example: Starting bid € 1,000 – Single pre-sale bid € 1,500 – Award at € 1,000

 b.      Multiple auction pre-bids of the same amount on the same lot

If no bids are raised during the auction, the lot will be awarded to the earlier bidder.

 c.      Multiple auction pre-bids of different amounts on the same lot

If there are no bids during the auction, the lot will be awarded to the highest bidder. The hammer price is calculated by adding to the amount of the next lowest bid an increment set out in the table below.

Example: customer A bid € 1,270 - customer B bid € 1,800. Customer B does not win at the award price of € 1,800 but at € 1,370.
