R/ TVTISSIMO LVMINE EXHIBITO Personificazione delle Scienze adagiata su un basamento volta a destra e appoggiata su un libro nell’atto d’osservare un fascio di fiori con la lente. Sul basamento la scritta, STAT SOLIDO e all’esergo, MDCXCIII. Forrer V, p. 312; Med in Num 733; Wurzbach 5893. AE MOLTO RARA Malpighi fu medico, naturalista e si interessò molto di anatomia. Egli lavorò presso l’università di Bologna e poi di Pisa e alla fine fu richiesto a Roma dal Papa. - qFDC
