Virginia Zeani (Virginia Zehan)  (Solovăstru 1925)

He studied singing under the guidance of the soprano Lydia Lipkowska and then the tenor Aureliano Pertile and made its debut in Bologna in 1948 as Violetta in La traviata. The repertoire included more than 70 roles, including the Carmelites of Poulenc's Dialogues, who sang in the premiere. His most famous interpretation was that of Violetta, who sang more than 600 performances. She was married since 1958 with the low Nicola Rossi-Lemeni, he died in 1991. Both were singing teachers at Indiana University, contributing to the affirmation of several well-known artists, including Vivica Genaux and Sylvia McNair. Portrait of autographed photo card soprano.
