Rina Corsi (Firenze 1908 - ?)

Mezzo-soprano Rina Corsi came from a famous family of Italian singers. He was born October 9, 1908 in Florence, he studied with the conductor Leopold Mugnone and began his career in 1929. He had a large repertoire of roles including Marina, Santuzza, Adelaide, Mignon, Hedwig, Suzuki, Teresa, Meg Page, Maddalena, Ninette, Afra and Paulina. She has performed in the major Italian theaters: La Scala Opera House, the San Carlo, Teatro Massimo, Teatro Comunale, the Caracalla Festival, as well as many other smaller theaters. She retired as a singing teacher in Florence. Portrait photo, hand-signed, the mezzo-soprano dated 1948
