Daniele Barioni (Copparo 1930)

The first appearance was in 1949 in a concert at the Italian Club in Milan and opera debut in 1954 as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Teatro Nuovo in Milan in the presence of Rudolf Bing, who cast him in the Metropolitan Opera in New York. During the first year of career also she sang Tosca and Madama Butterfly. In 1955 he performed in Egypt and South Africa, and February 20, 1956 debuted at the Metropolitan Opera House in Tosca replacing Giuseppe Campora, with great success [3] [4]. The following season, carried out a tour across the United States and Canada. In the early career he developed mainly at the Met, where between 1956 and 1962 appeared 54 times. He also performed frequently at the Baths of Caracalla and the Opera Theater of Rome, while the scale only in 1966 (Madama Butterfly and Cavalleria rusticana). Portrait photo autographed.
