Nicola Monti (Milano 1920 - Fidenza 1993)

She studied singing since childhood, making his debut in concert in Florence in 1941 and singing in the same year in Rigoletto in Cagliari. Because of the outbreak of World War II is then forced to end his career, taking up studying singing in 1950 at the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala debut and again the following year at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples as Elvino in La Sonnambula, who became his favorite role. Since then she sings in all major Italian opera houses, including La Scala several times, and in many foreign theaters (Wexford, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Leningrad.
