(Milan(?) 1495 ca. – Fiandre 1550)
Madonna and Child
Oil on panel, 85 x 61 cm
The painting shows stylistic characters referring to the influence of Italian painting and the knowledge of Leonardo's works.
The dark background, different from the other works of the painter in which the protagonists are surrounded by landscapes or other scenarios refers to the atmosphere of Lucrezia, dated back to 1530. The physiognomy of the Virgin's face, her hair divided into soft curls, the veil placed on the head, are elements inspired by Leonardo's works.
