after design by Raphael, an example in the second state of three with the address of Salamanca (abraded here in the print).

The composition illustrates some episodes taken from the first book of the Aeneid. Derived from the famous Tabula Iliaca Capitolina, it is a contemporary translation, expressly requested by Raphael from Raimondi. Bartsch.XIV.264.352. Fine proof, trimmed to the platemark, minor restorations, otherwise in excellent condition.
