The composition illustrates some episodes taken from the first book of the Aeneid. Derived from the famous Tabula Iliaca Capitolina, it is a contemporary translation, expressly requested by Raphael from Raimondi. Bartsch.XIV.264.352. Fine proof, trimmed to the platemark, minor restorations, otherwise in excellent condition.
