"Virgin and Child". A carved ivory figural group - probably France, late 18th Century; ; on a modern wooden base. 24.5 cm, 9 41/64 in high overall, weight 879 gr (sculpture 729 gr). Item condition grading: **** good (minor defect on the crown). Ce.S.Ar. Certificate of Antiquity

This lot contains ivory/coral/ tortoiseshell. Due to recent changes in the laws of many countries (e.g. US, France) - about endangered species including but not limited to coral, ivory and tortoiseshell - BFA recommends that buyers check with their own government regarding any importation requirements prior to placing a bid.
