"Saint George and the Dragon". A carved ivory equestrian figure - Germany, 19th Century; ; on a wooden base. 24 cm, 9 29/64 in high overall, base 15.5 x 9.5 cm, 6 7/64 x 3 47/64 in, weight 1116 gr. Item condition grading: **** good. Ce.S.Ar. Certificate of Antiquity

This lot contains ivory/coral/ tortoiseshell. Due to recent changes in the laws of many countries (e.g. US, France) - about endangered species including but not limited to coral, ivory and tortoiseshell - BFA recommends that buyers check with their own government regarding any importation requirements prior to placing a bid. For example, US regulations restrict the import of elephant ivory and prohibit the import of African elephant ivory.
