Point of nose is missing, and presence of a crack behind the right shoulder.

PROVENANCE

From the collection of Orazio Cordero, marquis de Soza (d. 2014), purchased from F. De M.

Cameo busts of the same period, more richly dressed, have been described as the portraits of Maria Salviati and Caterina de Medici.

Maybe by Giovanni Bernardi da Castel Bolognese (1494-1553)
