carved elephant ivory cup (Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797 or Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758), the lid decorated with pods and surmounted by a figure in the round; inside the lid a gold edged reserve carved with musical instruments. Height x depth x width 18 x 10 x 10 cm. Weight 264 gr. Item condition grading: ***** excellent. Accompanied by Ce.S.Ar. Centro Studi Archeometrici certificate of authenticity (pre-1947).
