Italian silver teapot and sugar bowl - Naples, 1832-1872, mark of GENNARO PANE

pyriform body resting on claw legs, with "cocciolette" and ribs decoration, the lids with pinecone shaped finals and wooden hadle. Stamped with the mark used by the guild of goldsmiths of Naples for a silver fineness of 833/1000, 1832-1872, silversmith Gennaro Pane (Ref. Elio e Corrado Catello, argenti napoletani page 145).
Teapot: height 17.5 cm, width with handle 18.5 cm, weight 486 gr. Sugar bowl and cover, height 13.5 cm, width with handles 11 cm, weight 286 gr. Total weight 772 gr.
Item condition grading: **** good (in need of polishing).
