Korea, Joseon dynasty, 17th century

Provenance: Ambassador Francesco Rausi.

The shape of this bottle has been a classic of Korean porcelain production, since its beginnings in the 15th century.
Its charm lies exclusively in the linear purity of its elegant profile, and the austere white glaze is an added value, testifying the predilection of the Korean intellectual elite for simple and sober artifacts.
