A PAIR OF 'SHIBAYAMA' STYLE MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAID IVORY VASES

Japan, Meiji period

The two sections of tusk decorated on the outside with iridescent mother-of-pearl inlays with vases of flowers, both supported by a carved wood pedestal with four curved legs and an upper balustrade with ivory knobs.
