Bronze figurine

Figure of the footballer Gigi Riva, portrayed in this bronze sculpture by the Sardinian artist Cosimo Canelles. Riva is depicted in a typical attacking pose, in the rush of kicking at the net. It is masterfully reproduced in the physical features of his face, and in the details of the Cagliari football shirt, with the number 11 and the laces around the neck. A tribute by the famous artist to the sample, probably made in the year of the Cagliari championship, 1974. The bronze figurine measures 18 cm and is mounted on a wooden base for a total height of 21 cm. On the plate applied the facsimile of the LUIGI RIVA autograph and the dedication SCULPTURE BY COSIMO CANELLES. Nice patina, good condition
