Sicily, Second Democracy (466-405), Tetradrachm, reverse die signed by Parmenides, Syracuse, c. 415-405 BC; AR (g 17,20; mm 25; h 4); Charioteer driving fast quadriga l., holding kentron and reins; above flying Nike crowning him, in ex. ear of grain l. Dotted border, Rv. ΣYRAKOΣIΩN, head of nymph Arethusa l., wearing amphyx decorated with stars, earrings and necklace; around, four dolphin, one emanating from below of her neck, below, ΠAPME.
