Korea, Goryeo dynasty, 12th-13th century

The shape of this bottle is inspired by real pumpkins which, when dried, were themselves used to contain liquids.
The silhouette of this container is distinguished by sobriety and a dynamic volume, accentuated by the presence towards the base of three thin parallel horizontal lines in slight relief which form two bands in continuous movement.
