Basin with brim and enlarged rim, tall body and broad cavetto VITERBO; 14th – 15th Century. Archaic majolica painted in green in relief and manganese brown. Front: brim decorated with small green triangles joined by a brown line; inside of body with similar decoration; cavetto decorated with flowers and leaves in high relief in green; back: unadorned. Ø 17 cm.; h. 4 cm. Cond.: excellent. A small, beautifully made bowl in excellent condition, decorated with copper flake (the green obtained from copper) applied thickly to form a relief of the precious zaffera verde type.
