Emperor bust with laurel wreath (Julius Caesar?)

Coated and gilded bronze. 26,5 x 14,5 x 10 cm with marble base

A bust depicting a roman emperor on a fine antique marble base. Black-coated bronze with golden inserts present in the laurel wreath and the tunic.

The nameplate on which the bust stands, which should have featured the character's name, has two charming volute, typical of the 1500s and 1600s taste.
