Lacquered and painted chinoiserie table - probably Venice, 18th-19th century

Folding top, octagonal in shape, supported by a column shaft resting on three double scroll feet. The entire outer surface is lacquered with a black background, illuminated and painted in polychrome with oriental-inspired motifs, the top with a frame of leaves centrally enclosing an octagonal reserve decorated with "chinoiserie" characters depicting scenes of everyday life.
