The painting presented here depicts a harbour view with a ferryman who helps a man to disembark from a boat. The artwork in question shows a simple structure with the seashore and the small figures on the right.
Despite the Tassi’s artistic production presents a very variable quality level throughout his career, making it difficult to attribute a work to his hand, there are elements that the painter repeated in the canvases and these allowing Mina Gregori to attribute the artwork to the artist's hand. The ample canals, typical of his repertoire, the architectural structure in the background and finally the calm and the balance of the elements, are aspects to which it refers Gregori, as well as the sky and the sea that confirm the artist’s role in the history of the modern landscape.
The work is accompanied by the expertise of Mina Gregori.
