The painting made by Domenico Pecchio is a landscape with a holy scene. The famous artist from Verona was strongly influenced by the great masters of the venetian landscaping painting, especially Marco Ricci, Francesco Zuccarelli and Giovanni Battista Cimaroli. Pecchio was a pupil of Antonio Balestra and worked only in Verona. The landscaping painting of the artist was strongly influenced by Marco Ricci’s style and subjects with an aptitude for rural scenes, showing with frankness and spontaneity the fecund and varied countryside of Verona, animating his landscapes with herd and graceful characters.
