French silver sugar bowl, Paris circa 1840, mark of JEAN FRANCOIS VEYRAT, import in Turin, Kingdom of Sardinia

circular in shape with side handles resting on four leafed feet; the lid with an acorns and oak leaves final. 800/1000 silver, hallmarked with the French export mark ""head of mercury"" in use from 1840, silversmith Jean Francois Veyrat, 1831-1840 and with the marks in use in Turin, Kingdom of Sardinia from 1824 to 1872.
