English Victorian sterling silver asparagus entrée dish - London 1896-1897, mark of MAXFIELD & SONS

rectangular shape with ribbed edges. The internal drain over the tray allows the asparagus to remain firm and hot with the addition of hot water in the very bottom compartment. The serving piece can be used with or without the internal trays. Sterling silver, fully hallmarked London 1896-1897, silversmiths Maxfield & Sons.
