Italic votive boar
3rd – 2nd century BC; length cm 18 (7’’); height cm 13 (5’’); An outstanding male boar statuette standing on a rectangular base, with mold-casting realized and hollow inside; the anatomical details are finely outlined, as the main stretched on the back, the arched tusks and the front legs clogs carefully etched.
PROVENANCE:
European private collection, acquired in the 1990s.
