Ottoman Bronze Helmet
18th century; height cm 16 (6’’); diam. cm 22 (9’’); A cast bell-shaped helmet with adjustable nasal guard and two plumeholders; with cast arabesque details express in concentric bands, with integral lozengiform lobes. The nasal with recurved upper end and ring.
PROVENANCE:
Private collection, London; formerly with David Aaron Gallery, and before ex a German private collection since 1982.
