A SWATOW ‘RED AND GREEN’ CHIKEN EWER, KENDI
Ming dynasty, 16th century
9 cm high
Painted in red and green enamels, the globular body decorated with a continuous lotus scroll, the short cylindrical neck with stylised flowers, the handle and mouth shaped as the head and tail of a bird

Provenance: acquired before 1975.
