Vintage photograph with hardcover, 30 x 20 cm

Dedication and handwritten signature which shows the famous car driver in the car. Especially known for being the first Italian woman and the first ever to run the Mille Miglia (Brescia-Roma round-trip). She drove Alfa Romeo and Maserati, however motoring enthusiasts mostly associate her with the American Packard 299 of 1919. She was an icon of Italian Feminism of the time. She had correspondence with D'Annunzio; she was the aunt of the director Roberto Rossellini and an in-law of Luchino Visconti’s.
