Three letters on postcards discussing an article about Ildebrando Pizzetti, dated 1941. In the thirties he was extremely busy doing review work, even on Ugo Ojetti's magazines («Dedalo», «Pegaso» and «Pan»). He collaborated with the Italian Encyclopedia directed by Giovanni Gentile. His incessant activity led to his appointment to the Academy of Italy in May 1940. He also collaborated on a number of film adaptations of important works of Italian literature. In the years 1940/41 he worked on the screenplays of Piccolo mondo antico by Soldati and I promessi sposi by Camerini.
