Oaxaca, 1837 - New York City, 1898

Autograph letter signed in English, dated "Mexico City, 10 January 1893" by the Mexican politician and diplomat, who twice served as Mexican ambassador to the United States. Romero addresses Mrs. Sartoris, in full (with mistakes): " Dear Mrs. Sartoris In answer to your letter of the 19th ultimo it gives me pleasure to enclose to you a letter that President Diaz addresses to you containing his autograph. Mrs. Romero es en Washington and have been for a few months (…) assisting Gen. Diaz, as secretary of the Treasure ". A page (13.3 cm x 20.7 cm) in English, in good condition, with a tear at the top left and traces of glue on the back.
