Four interesting signed autograph letters dated between 1923 and 1935, by the composer, addressed to the conductor Federico del Cupolo. Pietro Mascagni, who had him sing in his work Guglielmo Ratcliff represented at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, had a particularl liking for his voice. Struck by his musical talent, Mascagni introduced him to the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella, where he studied composition, piano and organ. Later he began his career as a conductor, making his debut at the age of 18 by conducting Poliuto at the Teatro Cimarosa in Caserta. He also collaborated with Pizzetti and Puccini. The lot includes 5 Mascagni telegrams and a postcard by his wife Lina. Various formats.
