Signed autograph letter addressed to Ottorino Respighi, A second letter is sent to his wife Elsa Respighi, dated 1929. The lot includes two printed memorials of the composer and various newspaper clippings. Trained in the field of German romanticism, Tommasini was initially inspired by French impressionism. Later he developed a personal, refined and eclectic style, particularly effective in the field of orchestral music, in which Debussy's echoes unite with elements of the Italian musical tradition of the eighteenth century, such as melodic grace and structural solidity, to which he adds a skilful use of timbre.
