Five pages of notes "Citations Arteaga" written by the famous musicologist. Notes for a book on the Spanish Jesuit Stefano Arteaga, author of the most complete story of melodrama that was written in the eighteenth century (Le rivoluzioni del teatro musicale italiano dalla sua origine fino al presente) acute and diligent work, for which it availed itself, living in Bologna, of the huge material collected by Padre Martini. Torrefranca's studies ranged from the history of Italian instrumental music to the history of 16th century polyphony. He made important contributions to the history of the quartet, the music of Sammartini and the origins of the sonata. Six pp. in-8.
