A SANCAI-GLAZED INKSTONE
China, Ming dynasty

2 x 15,5 x 12 cm

Of lobed shape, the upper side divided in two larger compartments framed by moulded profiles simulating the flowing of water, in a corner of the largest compartment a reclined buffalo, the upper surface covered with a sancai glaze, the base unglazed.
