A SANCAI-AND-BLUE-GLAZED BAG SHAPED PILGRIM FLASK
China, Ming dynasty

18 x 14 x 9 cm

Shaped as a saddle, a short cylindrical neck and two hanging holes, along the profile of the ewer a sequence of high relief buttons, on each side of the body four high relief figures in dynamic position, the exterior covered with brown, amber, white, green and blue enamels.

The dating of this lot is confirmed by the result of the thermoluminescence test done by Arcadia Tecnologie per i Beni Culturali, Milan.
