A PAIR OF ‘BLUE AND WHITE’ BALUSTER ‘DRAGON’ VASES
China, 20th century

34,5 cm high each
Supported by a circular foot, the globular body rising to a short cylindrical neck, the lower zone of the body with four lobed panels each of them with a dragon amidst waves and clouds, to the shoulder other dragons in persuit of the flaming pearl, the decoration painted in underglaze blue enamel, one of the vase with touches of red enamel, apocryphal Kangxi six characters mark to the centre of the base, wooden domed cover.
