Description

A classical greek massive gold ring with engraved bezel. Winged Victory.
Bezel 12 x 15 mm; diam. 16 mm; gr. 8
The figure is turned to the left, wears a chiton and have the hair gathered in a chignon. Ground line. Signs of wear and slight blows on the edge and on the hoop.
For stylistic comparisons: Victoria and Albert database, n. inv. 429-1871; J. Boardman, Greek gems and finger rings, n. 791-793.
