A late hellenistic gold ring with a hexagonal emerald rotating bezel.
ring internal size 15 x 18 mm; gr. 2,55
The intense green colored stone has small cracks and signs of wear, and is hexagonal in shape with a through hole (of the same type as the necklace beads). The gold setting is made up of a hoop ending on the vertical sides of the stone with a rosettal element. It is a refined example in excellent condition, presumably referable to the Ptolemaic-Alexandrian context. Rare.
2nd- 1st century BC.
