Description

A sassanian carnelian ring. Scorpion and crescent moon on the bezel.
Bezel 9 x 16 mm; diam. 16 mm
Presence of a spherical extremity in relief on top of the bezel, on the bezel area used to guide the sense of the impression. Crack and missing material on the lower part of the ring. Rare.

Sassanian period, 3rd-5th century A.D.
