A SANCAI-GLAZED 'CHANGSHA' CERAMIC MODEL OF A BUDDHIST LION
China, Tang dynasty style

The resting mythological animal with the head slightly turned to the left, the jaws open, the entire external surface covered with a céladon glaze on which there are green and ocher enamel stains to underline some body details already detected with linear incisions.
