AN INGOT-SHAPED WUCAI PORCELAIN 'DRAGONS' BOX AND COVER
China, Wanli period mark and probably of the period



The box has a ogival shape, the lid of similar size to the container, a frieze of half lozenges with stylized vegetable elements along the outside of the upper rim of the container and on the outside of the lower side of the lid, scattered on both pieces are arranged five claws dragons between curls of clouds, the decoration painted in cobalt blue, red, yellow, green and black enamels.
