A RED-AND-GREEN PORCELAIN OVOID 'BUDDHIST LION' JAR
China, Qing dynasty, second half of the 17th century

The decoration consisting of Buddhist lions amidst lotus flowers and peonies joined by leafy branches, on the neck a poetic ancient restoration with metal staples.
