Collection of 16 photographs of Roman Archaeological Ruins, taken by Lodovico Tuminello between 1870 - 1890; various sizes, ca. cm 19 x 25 each; Photographs taken by Lodovico Tuminello, famous photographer and hero of the Roman Republic (1849), active until 1900 in Via Dei Condotti 21. The selection includes 16 albumen prints with reinforcement treatmnent process (Crozat type) and made on dedicated paper, some of which with an unidentified watermark. Description of the places, header of the photgrapher and serial number printed on the lower edge. In these pictures some famous views of Rome: the Meta Sudans, the Roman Forum still in the demolition area of ​​Rione Monti, Ponte Nomentano inserted in a beautiful Roman Campagna. The presence of human figures in the views as an element of proportion of the spaces. Prints never applied to the cardboard. Some small cuts and small missed parts, generally very good condition, and an impressive sharpness.
