A pair of etruscan gold bauletto earrings.
First half of the 6th century B.C.
H: 9 mm Weight(tot): 2,31 grs

Broad strip of gold bent into three-quarters of a cylinder.The larger surface of the cylinder is decorated with fligree and granulation representifs floral pattern. The terminals are embossed. Provenance: The Gotha Precious Collection; with Oswald Burchard, Zurich, until 1983; formerly part of the M. Hess collection (Hotel Jura, Basel).
