From the stories of the Maccabees, the engraving tells the sack of the temple of Jerusalem and the city by Antiochus king of Syria, depicted on the right on horseback. Publisher's name engraved within the plate. At the bottom of the print the inscription: "Relinqunt Iudei legem cultumquae Dei sui punit Dominus impietatem per impium Anthiocum spoliantem vasa domud Domini aurea, magna insuper caede aedita / Machab: 1 chap. 1. 22 ".
